The Nutcracker. A winter wonder!

The Nutcracker: Winter Wonderland is an immersive interpretation of Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s famous ballet and E.T.A. Hoffmann’s short story. Thanks to projections, music and narration, viewers are transported to the world of Clara, who, together with the Nutcracker transformed into a Prince, faces the Mouse King and discovers the magical Land of Sweets. It is a story that has accompanied winter holidays for over a hundred years and remains one of the most beautiful family stories.

The exhibition also has an educational dimension – we present the literary and musical context of the work, the history of ballet and profiles of its creators. In addition, we are preparing accompanying festive activities, such as family workshops and ballet performances, which will enrich the experience of both young and adult viewers. We are also introducing elements of augmented reality; thanks to a mobile application, visitors will be able to interact with the projections and discover hidden details of the world presented.

Story Wall Entertainment from Toronto is responsible for the production of the original multimedia show, and we, Art Box Experience, are preparing its Polish version. The artistic concept and implementation are supervised by Joanna Kowalkowska, founder of Art Box Experience, designer and artistic director of international immersive productions, and Piotr Sikora, founder of Art Box Experience, co-founder of Platige Image and producer of award-winning film projects and special effects.
